How to determine the purity of silver plated copper wire?

times

1: Look at the weight, find a copper one with the same volume and weight, otherwise it's something else.

2: Use a file to remove white powder from copper-clad aluminum.

3: Burning: The melting point of copper is much higher than that of aluminum. Aluminum wire is coated with a layer of copper and drawn. Due to its small specific gravity and good transmission performance, it is particularly suitable for the inner conductor of RF coaxial cables. Compared with pure copper wire, its density is about 40% of pure copper wire, and its transmission characteristics are superior to pure copper wire. It is an ideal inner conductor for RF coaxial cable branch lines.

Silver plated copper wire is made of high-quality oxygen free copper plated or drawn, with excellent conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and high temperature oxidation resistance. The silver plating layer has very active chemical activity under light conditions and is prone to chemical reactions with external sulfides, causing surface corrosion of the silver plating layer and accelerating its discoloration.
